Plant, Protect, Maintain, Sell, Fell & Replant

Wetland Willow manage every step of the process without any need for upfront payments, ongoing costs or any labour. A first of its kind in our industry. Due to high demand for our service we are only taking on selected clients at this time. We are looking for landowners with riverside or wetlands with a high water table.

A First in the English Cricket Bat Willow Industry

Wetland Willow was created to make cricket bat willow growing accessible to everyone. We understand that the high costs, long timeframes, and expertise required can be a huge barrier for landowners — so we’ve reimagined the process.

We cover 100% of the costs and labour from planting through to harvest. When the timber is ready, we sell it to the highest bidder and take only a minority share, ensuring a fair and profitable partnership for everyone involved.

Our goal is simple: to produce the finest quality cricket bat willow timber. Because pruning directly affects timber grade, we dedicate our efforts to consistent, expert maintenance — ensuring strong, straight, knot-free trees that achieve maximum market value.

Why We’re Different

Unlike many companies, we don’t buy the timber — we grow it.
That means our loyalty lies entirely with our growing partners, not the end buyers.

From cultivating our own disease-free willow sets to providing ongoing pruning and care, we manage the full lifecycle of every tree. When your plantation matures, we use our network of buyers to secure the best possible market price, ensuring you benefit fully from your land’s potential.

We’re not the biggest in the business — but we are among the most dedicated. With years of hands-on experience working across the country planting, pruning, and felling for larger companies, we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. Wetland Willow is our passion, our livelihood, and our future — and we care deeply about the success of every partnership.

Our Mission

At Wetland Willow, our mission extends beyond timber. We’re committed to:

  • Producing the highest grade cricket bat willow possible.
  • Building honest, long-term relationships with landowners.
  • Enhancing biodiversity and habitats for wildlife.
  • Supporting carbon sequestration and cleaner waterways.

Cricket bat willow trees can also qualify for environmental grants and subsidies through Riparian Zone or Agroforestry schemes — and we never take a share of those payments. Our aim is to create value for you, your land, and the environment.

Why Partner With Us?

While “zero cost” might be the first reason people think of, the real difference is that we care.
We’re a small, passionate team that treats every project personally — because this isn’t just business for us, it’s our future.

We don’t profit from selling to one buyer at a fixed price. Instead, we use our market experience and trusted contacts to sell your timber competitively to multiple buyers, ensuring you receive the highest return possible.

Cricket bat willow remains in strong demand worldwide, and we believe trees planted today will be worth many times their current value in years to come. It’s an investment in both your land and the legacy it can create.
